Esta serie se trata de una propuesta-protesta a favor de quienes se encuentran privados de libertad en los recintos penitenciarios en Latinoamérica por haber infringido la norma penal, teniendo presente la displicencia de quienes viven y opinan con ignorancia e ímpetu del sistema.
Al minuto de llegar la tan ansiada libertad; al poner un pie afuera de la cárcel la gran mayoría de los ex condenados, no cuenta con dinero para trasladarse, comer, ni tampoco con redes de apoyo afectivas que le posibiliten el proceso de reinserción social y por sobretodo, cuentan con antecedentes penales con el fin de que no sean contratados en un empleo dependiente.
Se plantea este fenómeno, como una evidente falta de oportunidades hacia los vulnerables, determinados a ser castigados porque nacieron donde lo hicieron.
Se asimila a la cárcel como un producto del egocentrismo social, como la manera más fácil de deshacerse de los “problemáticos”: aislándolos y desentendiéndose de ellos; los que sólo aclaman oportunidades ante sus desventajas.
En la serie "Detenidos No Desaparecidos" se despliega un políptico adaptable a cualquier muro, hacinándolo de módulos al igual como aquellos olvidados en las dependencias penitenciarias, de trazos rápidos y mal cuidados.
Esta muestra pretende modificar la percepción del público general sobre un tema delicado y manoseado por los medios. Aspira a describir ciertas realidades que son causa de la tan criticada “puerta giratoria” del sistema judicial latinoamericano; dejando entrever que las cárceles no son una solución efectiva para prevenir la reincidencia y que las razones que han llevado a la población penal a ser tal tienen más que ver, en general, con la escasez de oportunidades que perversión y maldad.
Asumiendo la gravedad de los hechos cometidos en la dictadura militar se plantea una reinterpretación de la Historia con su título "Detenidos No Desaparecidos", proponiendo en concreto, el deber de preocupación hacia un tema contingente relacionado a los detenidos de hoy que actualmente viven apartados como si no tuvieran más rastro que la evidencia de su propio delito.
Otra de las maneras que tiene el artista de hacerse cargo de esta problemática social, nacidas desde el desarrollo de las artes y la filosofía es el Proyecto +R, que hoy dirige como representante de la sociedad civil frente al Ministerio de Justicia y Derechos Humanos.
This series is about a proposal-protest in favor of those who are deprived of liberty in the penitentiary enclosures in Latin America for having violated the penal norm, bearing in mind the indifference of those who live and think with ignorance and impetus about the system.
The minute the longed-for freedom arrives; When the majority of former convicts stepped outside prison, they do not have the money to move, eat, nor with affective support networks that make it possible for them to reintegrate themselves and, above all, they have a criminal record with them, so they are not hired in a dependent job.
This phenomenon is raised, as an evident lack of opportunities for the vulnerable, determined to be punished because where they were born.
It is considered prison as a product of social egocentrism, as the easiest way to get rid of the "problematic": isolating and disregarding them; those who only claim opportunities before their disadvantages.
In the series "Detainees Not Disappeared" is deployed a polyptych adaptable to any wall, full of modules, as well as those forgotten in the penitentiary, with quick strokes and poor care.
This exhibition aims to modify the perception of the general public on a sensitive topic and manipulated by the media. It aspires to describe certain realities that are the cause of the much-criticized "revolving door" of the Latin American judicial system; suggesting that prisons are not an effective solution to prevent recidivism and the reasons that have led the prison population to be such, have more to do in general, with the lack of opportunities than perversion or evil.
Assuming the seriousness of the acts committed in the military dictatorship, a reinterpretation of history is proposed with its title "Detainees Not Disappeared", proposing in particular, the duty of concern towards a contingent issue related to the detainees who currently live apart as if they had no more trace than the evidence of their own crime.
Another of the artist's ways of taking care of this social problem, born from the development of the arts and philosophy, is the
+R Project, which he now heads as the representative of civil society in front of the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights.
